The Texas Rangers Heritage Center's youth education programming is provided through the The LoneStar Ranger Academy. The Academy is dedicated to instilling moral values, virtuous actions and personal responsibility in our Youth by introducing the “Five Character Traits” of a Texas Ranger and how to employ them in daily life. The result? “Building Better Citizens of the State of Texas, Our Nation and Our World.” ™
This program is offered through fourth and seventh grade curriculum materials to educational institutions throughout the state.
LoneStar Ranger Program The Texas Rangers Heritage Center is proud to offer Youth the opportunity to learn about Texas Ranger history, and the principles upon which we believe it has been built, through the LoneStar Ranger program. This program is offered to youth organizations across the state.
LoneStar Ranger Scouting Programs Our LoneStar Ranger Scouting Program serves to motivate Scouts about Texas history and Texas values, and supplements Scouting initiatives through special Award Programs and options for Encampments on the grounds of the Heritage Center. These unique opportunities, rich in Texas history, contribute to the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of Scouts and will help guide them in developing their core values.

FTRF Scholarship Program Each year, the Former Texas Rangers Foundation provides a scholarship to the child or step-child of an active Texas Ranger. Through generous supporters, we have been fortunate to give over $155,000 in the past 18 years to further the education of these deserving young men and women.
Our scholarship presentation is made each year at our annual gala fundraiser, Silver Stars & Six Guns. The money is awarded in August to the college of the recipient’s choice and they are able to use the funds as needed.
